At 9:00am on January 5th, 2012, we held the ribbon-cutting ceremony on delivery of the largest pumped storage ball valve in China in Heavy Machinery Plant, corporate leaders, Liu Kejian, Director of the United Front Work Department of the Party Committee of Jianxi District, and leaders from CPI Group, DEC, China Valve Technology Co., Ltd., Harbin Electric Corporation, etc. attended the ceremony.
The largest pumped storage ball valve is one key project cooperated with State Grid, and is planned to be used in Xianyou Pumped Storage Power Station in Fujian Province. The ball valve is 4.5m in diameter and 2.3m in outlet diameter and the weight is 120t. The set of equipment from casting, handle welding, weld flaw detection, thermal treatment to processing and assembly and test equipment embody our advanced level of hydropower equipment manufacturing. It sets records in weight, volume and processing level of ball valve in China, and achieves the localization of large hydropower ball valve, instead of imported products.
